Traditional vacuum forming
The raw material for vacuum forming is a plastic sheet, specially adjusted to the item via plastic material, size, thickness, colour, surface etc. The sheet is heated and formed as shown in the figure below. For traditional vacuum forming we use vacuum exclusively to pull the sheet down over the form.
Vacuum forming is the correct method for relatively large items, small batch numbers or when the costs for tool making for e.g. injection moulding is not cost effective.
Based on annual consumption, we can calculate whether vacuum forming is the ideal production method for the specific item.
We have a large machine capacity. With 25 vacuum forming machines we can produce technical plastic items from the smallest sizes up to items measuring 4200 x 2500 x 1000 mm. We have automatic material feeders on several machines and we can also form items from coils.
